Yes my husband did forget my birthday this year. I was at my mothers house with my baby for 6 weeks taking care of her after she had a stroke. My husband was coming down on the weekends as we live about an hour and a half away from my mother. My birthday was on a Saturday and he came down to see me and the baby and never mentioned my birthday, completely forgot. I was very upset because I was exhausted from taking care of my mother and the baby and my father and I just needed to have a special day. Maybe next year.

Yes, I would. Then i would let him know how hurt and upset I was so he would never do it again then I would help him never to forget by reminding him a month ahead of time with statements like did you know this year my birthday is on a Tuesday? Or so next month our anniversary is on wed I think?, lets see, yeah the 12th is on wed;
Or do you think we should celebrate wed or wait to the weekend. Then the next week I'll come back and say oh honey for our anniversary when you said the weekend did you mean after the weekend after the 12th or before ? Just get creative and help him it sounds like he needs some help. Or just program it on his computer or phone.

My wife wasn't mad when I forgot her 1st b'day after we were married. Though I had got her gifts 4 days back I forgot about it the very day! She was kind enough to remind me about it and then I made it up with apologies and more gifts! I'm not saying only gifts did console her, but yes, the reason for forgetting was genuine, a true wife that she is, did forgive me.
As they say, "the best way to remember your wife's b'day is to forget it once" and everafter i've never forgotten her b'day. (Thanks to reminders in my mobile.)

Hell yes. That is supposed to be the one single person in the world who shouldn't forget. Certain circumstances could make this ok, but not many. For instance maybe a lot of health problems lately that'd make the last part of your lives very hectic. Other than that, or circumstances like it, it's really messed up of him or her.

I would feel insignificant for about 5 minutes then I would go out and buy myself a righteous pair of earrings, get a pedicure and go see a movie all by myself. By then he should have come up with something to show me he had felt bad.

No . Fortunately my wife and I are not very sentimental if it comes to that. It has happened that someone wishes us for a birthday or anniversary before we realize that it is suppose to be a special day.

I would be pretty upset but since he is in the navy half the time he was not even on the same side of the world as me on my birthday, valentines, christmas etc etc, IF that is the case then cut him some slack, otherwise I would be more than upset and heads would roll.......................

No. Because we don't celebrate our birthdays!!!! and I'm fine with it. Some years we will go out and have a nice dinner. Not every year.
