I have been living in my current locale for the past Year. Now, My Landlady is going out of her way to find an excuse to evict us. What can she do legally, and what can I do to protect myself as a tenant?

Eviction can only be legally demanded on the following according to Civil Law:
1. Your contract is already expired;
2. You violated the contract;
3. You failed to pay the rentals, and
4. The landlord or any of his/her direct relative/s will use the property.

If you don't have a lease, it depends on where you live. You do have some legal rights, and a 1/2 hour with a landlord/tenant attorney will explain those rights to you.

whether this is a piece 8 subsidized living house then you certainly can get a three day be conscious because of the fact those adults who're on the lease are actually not the only ones living there. you're actually not on the lease, and that on my own ought to reason an eviction.

USE THE CONTRACT THAT YOU AGREED TO ABIDE BY WHEN YOU FIRST RENTED FROM HER...SHE MUST ABIDE BY THE CONTRACT TOO...IF YOUR CONTRACT IS UP , THEN YOU SHOULD BE GIVEN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO MOVE ,TYPICALLY 3 TO 5 DAYS.AND YOU MUST LEAVE THE PROPERTY THE WAY YOU FOUND IT.........
THE RENTAL AGREEMENT MUST BE REFLECTED IN THE WAY YOU ARE CURRENTLY LIVING...IF THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE IN THE RENTAL THAN WERE AGREED TO ON THE CONTRACT ,YOU ARE IN VIOLATION AND THE LANDLOARD CAN REMOVE YOU............LOOK AT YOUR LANDLORD TENNANT AGREEMENT (RENTAL AGREEMENT ) IF YOU ARE NOT ADHEARING TO THAT AGREEMENT YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK ....

ON THE OTHER HAND IF SHE IS MESSING WITH YOU FIND YOUR LOCAL LANDLORD TENNAMT ASSOCIATION , GET AN ATTORNEY AND HAVE HER PAY YOUR EXPENSES AND GO TO COURT.....

It all depends on where you live. Laws and regulations differ from state to state, city to city.

Try googling tenants rights and your city.
