Most degrees from online schools range from $50,000-$70,000 for a Bachelor's. Is it worth it? What are the best schools? What are the best majors?

I'm a working mom/military spouse, so it has to be an online class. I also want to go to school for cosmetology when my husband goes to Iraq

Do employers recognize degrees from online schools as legitimate?

That's too much money for an online degree. Why dont you wait until you have more time to go to a real school? they are less expensive and they have better programs. Online schools dont really have a good variety of classes and degrees. I think employers would prefer someone from an university better. Good luck!

School in GENERAL is filled with debt.

My advice? If you are paying that much, you may as well go to class. Go to a school that offers online courses. More trustworthy, less trusting on just the internet. I just spent 3 years in school, had a kid, planned a wedding, carried 2 jobs, and still graduated c.u.m laude. AND I'm not debt. AND it cost me $15K each year for a private school thanks to scholarships.

What do you mean by "best majors"? If you find a job you like, that's better than any money. Let me guess: you think by getting $50K in debt that you should be able to make that up in a year. Here's a hint--get your mind out of the American way and just find a job that YOU can enjoy doing for the rest of your life. Find a degree that will support you throughout your life.

There are plenty of schools that offer online courses; just stay away from the online SCHOOLS. A degree in what you want to go into will probably require much more hands-on than what you are looking for.

My opinion, I wouldn't think it's worth it. If you are to pay that much for an online college might as well spend it going to a real university. Some Ivy league schools are less than that actually, about $30,000 a year. Any major you choose would be best as long as your happy with it and you are able to succeed in it and make a living with it.

On-line degrees are a total SCAM! Do you think Microsoft would accept a degree from www.degree-me.com?

Either do your own research and learn the subject or go to a REAL school....on-line has a long way to go before it is credible!
