I am unable to come up with a percentage but I would hope that the family would find ways to support one another especially in this time of need. To seek shelter within the marriage that they have. Needless to say this is something extremely hard to go through .. I would suggest to go to family counseling to get through this time of need. It will help them to keep their feelings blocked up. The only time I have ever been given a percentage of a % was from a nurse after we lost our son, we didn't lose him to cancer. She mentioned that only 50% make it.

I do not know where you are going to find such a complex statistic as that, however over 70% of all marriages fail and with the extra strain of such a tragic situation as yours it is not going to be any better. I just hope that having to work together to help your child will bring you both closer together.
