I'm part Asian myself and I don't know the answer to this question. If anyone can give me a decent cultural perspective on this, please do.

I know a lot of Asian people worked in manufacturing plants sewing clothes and other fabric items in China; maybe they're just taking the knowledge they already have and putting it toward their own businesses.

In part it depends on what region you are in, but in heavily populated areas I think you are right.

I think this is because that type of industry is a service industry somewhere about food service but below nursing in terms hygeine training and the level of intelligence required to maintain government standards.

Simply put, I think of the service class those in the nail and hair business are people more inclined to groom themselves as well as others. Cultures less likely to groom themselves are less likely to groom others, so they fall into other industries that do apply more to their personal cultures. People who know about tools, know about caring for tools and equipment. People who know about food, caring food and preparing it. People who know about health care, taking care of people and medicine.

Because white people think doing nails is below them. Minorities don't mind, it's good money.
