Time marches on.

Self-consciousness peaks right at the age you're at now.

The most important thing to remember at your age is that you WILL become the person you're only pretending to be now.

If you dress down, go goth or get piercings and tatoos, you will morph yourself into a society dregs kind of person. This may get you attention, but it won't get you respect or admiration.

If you have a positive role model, now's the time to replace the traits and habits you've lost with the ones you want to adopt.

In other words, don't follow the crowd, begin to take charge and become the person you want to be now!

Don't let this opportunity slip away. It won't come again.

If you want real self-confidence, take up an instrument or sharpen some other admirable skill or ability.

If you allow yourself to seek the level of your peers, you will become average.

Above-average people first learn to take charge of themselves. Only then will you find the wisdom to take charge of others.

when we encounter new things those of us in this world that are bright and caring seem to first field the flore.. meaning "look out and observe' .. and until then when we will know we wont be a hinder but rather a benefit to those around us we will be ourselves.... don't fret... you have already shown great consideration to others by asking whats wrong with you.... NOTHING!! High school is a competitive spirit in life... a reward from which we will always gather information in our later life's....that's why we have reunions... so to the root of the question..... you being the vivacious, and talkative one will continue just as soon as you feel like you have something to be confident about... that's how you got there in the first place..your confidence in yourself was probably brought on by observation of others. High school is definitely a more mature platform then say Jr high where the football q back is 120lbs and the HS QB is 220 wow don't worry what the big guys say.... be yourself...confident and vivacious, and talkative you will never look stupid to your peers.... just understand that you Peer group has extended and as such so should you... don't care what others think of you now if you haven't before... i for one think your great!!!

Peace!! G

Don't worry about it too much.

New social structures need a reforming of a pecking order. It's a herd mentality and you will find your place soon!
