I am a Scorpio and I like to be complimented as long as it's sincere and not phony.

I'm a scorpio and although I gripe about not getting enough respect and credit for good work that I do, when someone does compliment me I'm like a deer in the headlights and probally come off as a bit of a prig.

now, the word flattery, though implies to me someone using complimentary language to me under false pretenses, and THAT does not fly one iota with me.

'm a Scorpio and don't like compliments. Don't know why. I'm sitting here trying to think of a reason, but can't.

My mom is a Scorpio, and she gets suspicious if anyone in my family compliments her. I have no idea why she does that.

scorpio's tend to play the human game of chess.....so every compliment is a move that will make them suspicious to what you want from them.

Most good people aren't "flattery operated". If you have to flatter someone to get them do do something or to like you. you have the problem.
