not only it's not safe but dangerous, you put yourself and the baby at risk of infection and baby in shock
usually when this happen naturally or done by the dr, you would expect to deliver the baby within 24 hours or else they will do a c-section to take the baby out

Please do not break your "bag of waters" at home. The protective membrane that keeps the amniotic fluid around your baby is also what keeps out infection. There is no safe way to break this at home without contaminating the inside of your uterus, thus exposing both you and your baby at risk for infections (including peritonitis- a very dangerous and painful infection that you could get). The doctors or midwifes that have the correct tools for this only use sterilized tools. They also know when it is safe to break your water, based on how you and your baby's vital signs are, and many other criteria. Why do you want to do this at home? If it is because you want a home delivery, depending on the state you live in, you could contact a midwife that does home births. If you are full term and want to go into labor now, because you are tired of being pregnant (completely understandable) check out your options for safe inducement, whether at a hospital with the correct medications, or homeopathic methods.

I don't know if it's possible, but it's probably not safe. And after it's broken, there's only a certain amount of time before you should deliver the baby or there's risk of infection, which the bag is there to prevent.

It is possible. If done by non professional, it can cause serious danger to you and your baby. Bag of water ( amniotic sac) is your baby's temperature controlled environment. It is ideally broken when baby is ready to descend ( delivery). Obviously, it needs special hormones to prepare the body and help in dilating birth canal. When doctors do it to induce labor they also give those hormones to prepare birth canal. I do not know how old are you and why you want to do this. If you have some social issues call any local ER to get information about help and advice. They can get you in touch with some social worker who can help you out in all circumstances.
