I used to be a real estate agent. In our county you can usually find out from property tax records. An agent can help you or you can try to find the info. on your county website.

Real estate records are kept at your county courthouse. Plat plans list owner, date purchased, ammount paid, taxes, and legal description. These records are open to the public.

Usually you have to go to the land registry office and have a title search performed. They'll likely charge a set fee for this. Realtors can usually get access to this information as well but through the same means.
