When its freezing outside and the leaves are falling and its raining and getting ready for a nasty winter, what kind of indoor hobbies do you have?

I am a single registered nurse and I work a lot. I have 2 kids who are doing their own things My son is 21 and my daughter who lives in another town is 18. I get hopelessly bored at home which leads to more and more working. I would like to quit that kind of behavior.

When the weather gets cold, I open all of the windows and turn off the a/c.Then my light bill drops down the a normal range. Oh, by the way I live in Miami, Florida and we have pretty mild winters down here.

I do scrapbooking and making jewelry! Anything with crafts! I also like to read! Go to your local craft store and look around, they have all kinds of things you can do when you're stuck inside! You could make soap, candles, the possibilities are endless!

Well.....I like to cook - so I always make hearty, warm food. I like to have lots of books to read, build a fire in the fire place and read, read, read..................

If you have this kind of time on your hands - why don't you consider handcrafting some of your christmas presents to friends and family this year. Martha Stewarts website has wonderful craft ideas.

I watch football as often as I can. I also seem to cook more when the weather is cold and nasty.
