Very personal question: The idea of being hypnotized really turns me on. It has since I was in highschool and volunteered for a stage show. I love everything about it and find it very erotic...my boyfriend says I'm a weirdo and I think he might be right. Anyone else feel that way...or should I seek counselling?

i don't think you're a weirdo, and if it's not intefering negatively with your life, there's no reason to see a counsellor. Everyone has their little fantasies, but most people don't talk about them. I have some pretty creepy ones, but I don't care - i know everyone has them and unless it's debilitating, it's not abnormal.

Just because you get turned on because of something that is outside of what a majority of people would consider "normal" does not mean you need counseling. Millions of people are turned on by things that others think is weird. As long as no one gets hurt then what is the problem? Enjoy. Best of luck.

People are turned on by all kinds of things. As long as it doesn't involve hurting an unwilling partner you have nothing to worry about. You don't seem to obsess over it. There are things 50 years ago that were considered taboo that are mainstream sexual activities today. If you enjoy it do it.

there could be something erotic about being out of control and at the whims of someone else. I can see how people can find that erotic. Try experiment with this theme of loss of control and see where it takes you.

You have to ask yourself why you feel that being hypnotized is a turn on. Is it because you are giving up control or feel that you need to be controlled.

I FIND THE IDEA OF BEING HYPNOTISED SCARY, WHEN I WENT TO A SHOW I WOULDNT LOOK AT THE MAGICIAN BECAUSE I WAS SCARED OF WHAT I MIGHT DO.......ANYWAY IF IT TURNS YOU ON WHO CARES ITS NOT LIKE YOUR HURTING ANYONE.....I DONT THINK YOU NEED TO SEE A COUNSELOR ABOUT IT.....maybe your boyfriend can 'pretend' to hypnotise you in the bedroom!!!

hypnosis is a state of relaxation, we all enjoy it as we fall asleep.
fantasy about what we might do, is reality. you won't do anything under hypmosis that you wouldn't do anyway. just have fun, whatever the induction!
