The biggest element in the vehicle that holds the smell is the A/C system. A good dousing of Lysol into the A/C intake or front cowl area with the A/C running will help to get rid of the odor. The next thing I would use is an enzyme cleaner available at most auto parts stores. Use the cleaner on the carpet and carpeted door panels if equipped. You should notice a big difference after cleaning.

Well of course, stop smoking or make sure your windows are also rolled down when you do. Also, putting butts out in the ashtray will cause that strong cigarette smell too. Get yourself some febreeze and clean your car out at least once a week. You may want to shampoo your carpets and upholsery as well. Hope this helps.

Clean all fabric, and plastic molding thoroughly then place a bag of charcoal in tubs or a cardboard box and close the windows allow the charcoal to stay in your car for 3-4 days. The charcoal will absorb odors make sure you purchase the type of charcoal that requires lighter fluid do not use match light or any type that only requires a match.

I'm not sure whether you have this product where you are but it is called Febreze. You spray it on all surfaces and when it dries it takes away the smell.

My man works in his vehicle all day and it gets smelly from sweat and from the items he transports. At the end of the week we spray the car and Monday it is as good as new.

Let a dead body rot in your car.

I saw in another post that coffee grounds get rid of dead body smell.

Use coffee grounds for the dead body after the dead body gets rid of the tobacco smell.
