it is really good u took AP classes. You'll save tons of money for college and you will even get ahead of other people since u wont need to take those again.

Depends on the college. The reason you take the AP classes is to actually save yourself some time and money in college by proving you can do those topics. Many colleges though will still have you take their particular tests for the college credits, or some will give you college credits for the APs. If you didn't do well, don't worry, it's not that important. Most colleges look at GPA and the class levels you took more than anything.

It just means you don't have to take those intro classes.

It also means you have shown a dedication to your studies in the past.

It can also impress your college in the admission process.

However, in the end it's not about who took what classes in high school. You have to PROVE you know your stuff. You could have taken all the AP classes ever created, but if you can't defend an argument in Literature and Spirituality about the significance of canines in literature of the 1800s compared with their significance in 1500s, then you haven't proven anything.

Life is more about tests. I received a 32 on the ACT. What does that mean? I take tests well. I'm semi-intelligent. That doesn't mean anything to my employer; what matters is that I am able to do my job WELL. Same with school--you can be as great as you were in high school, but college is different. You have to prove yourself.

you should be given credit for the courses you passed - but will have to take the others still - if you got an overall good grade in the course colleges should look favorably upon that

If you have good grades, then you should be ok. AP is closer to the rigor and requirements of college, so its good to get that exposure early.
