Once we began this doctrine of pre emptive strike doctrine, how different does this make us from Rome ? At first all they wanted to do was trade and conduct commerce, and occaisionally teach the barbarians to fear them. Look at where it ended.

united states will not last long because of the dictator ship of republicans. and democrate fighting each other like crazy. another reason is the country is not stable ever since the war because china has bought at least 95 percent of the war bond that united states issue.

Empires fall when they separate themselves from their people. Do ou believe that the goals of the American government fail to meet the demands ot the American people?
Look at the Mayans. An empire of antiquity, somehow gone. Of course if you have ever been to the Yucatan all the people there still look just like the drawings and portraits of the Mayan peoples that formed teh Mayan Empire, but the people survived and the empire dissolved. The difference might be that the people, We The People, have a vested interest in preserving the Constitution of the United States, and when we lose sight of that we will indeed fall. at that point you can give everything you have ever worked for to ghetto people, because that's who's gonna get it without a government to protect us frojm the filth and soil of society. Remember tha twhatever happens in Iran or Iraq that the DOMESTIC political arena will dictate whether we are successful or not. Hopefully everybody here is interested in our success as a nation and hasn't abandoned our beloved nation just because they don't agree with an unpopular president. That would be childish and stupid.
We may be here for maybe a thousand more years. Maybe a lilttle more or less. That's not a long time. It's a long time for a nation, but you have to remember that the German Postal System is over 700 years old now.

I don't know, there have been alot of empires that have stood alot longer than America if you stop and think about it. America really hasn't been around that long if you think about it. Did you know England used to exile people to America as punishment for crimes back when the colonies existed. I guess it started off kind of as a dimping ground for undesirables. Hey wait, we're getting invaded once again with the undesireables from Mexico. Ha Ha Ha, isn't that funny. I don't know how long America will remain free, but I think it will stand for a while. America is moving closer and closer to dictatorship unfortuneately. Human rights are being thrown right out the window.

i do no longer think of it is going to take place every time. the U. S. has such a lot of stressful-working and correctly-knowledgeable immigrants, while maximum different international locations have a decling inhabitants and don't take in newbies properly. specific some IT and so on, jobs pass distant places, yet most of the precise minds in the marketplace immigrate to the U. S.. The extra money human beings make in India or China; the greater probably they are to pass to US, so their prosperity is sturdy for the U. S.. ultimately, what sustains an empire is human beings and the U. S. has human beings with each thing from basically solid backs to stronger ranges coming in each twelve months.

At least another 100 years. There isnt a country in the world that could permentaly take over the US. N.Korea and Iran could develope nukes and say that hit the US with them. Well if the US were hit with a nuke it would retaliate by turning those two countries into parking lots with Nuclear weapons. That would be enough to scare any country into not trying that again.

by the turn of the century.. watch out.

All dominating countries fail. -But then again, there's NEVER been a country like the USA. In fact, we're the most induring, stable form of govn't. But that still doesn't mean it's gonna last.

If we fall... we'll fall from within. That's the point to remember.

I doubt America will last more than 50 years, maybe less if they launch an attack against Iran.

Israel has been in existence for 58 years - I figure another 12 more years of this Israel/America duopoly.

America isnt an empire jackass. Empires have emporers and dont you say that Bush is the emporer. He hardly seems like one, if I were to compare him to one I would say nero and nero was really only emporer in name.
