The ultimate insanity is that the Iraqi government is dominated by PRO-IRANIAN factions. So basically, our troops are in harm's way to make sure the government that is an ally of our enemy can stay in power...
Bush's "stay the course" and "get the job done" message is basically saying we can only leave once Iran's allies have a firm control over the country. I guess Bush forgot he put Iran on his Axis-of-Evil list.....And who can blame him. It was a very long list. It had 3 countries on it.....
And I just read David C's response....It always amazes me how clueless and ill-informed Bush's backers are. While we were speeding weapons to Israel, Iraq's government was giving daily speeches attacking Israel and supporting Hezbollah....
