It depends if the car was bought in Canada or the States. If it was bought in Canada the daytime running lights automatically come on when you start the vehicle. One thing though at night you can't driving with just the running lights as some vehicles tail lights don't work with just the daytime lights on. If the car was bought in the states then you may not have this option as the cars made for there didn't have that feature on them as it was not required by law.

the fastest way would be to go to a local junk yard and look for a car like yours and get the part or you could go the nearest chevy dealer and give them your vin and they will look up the exact part you need. also you could search online stores to find the armrest that you want
