What's your favorite product to pre-treat the stains on your laundry?

It really depends on the stain. For most stains I use Shout. If the stain is a particularly tough one such as mustard or coffee, I do a check for what would work best for that particular stain and use that method.

Here are a few links you may find helpful.

For years I used a product called "Mother's Miracle" but I don't think it's being made anymore. My new favorite is likely to become a similar product, called "Nature's Miracle" . It is a stain remover marketed thru pet supply stores and is similar to the baby-stain version. It uses enzymes to take out organic stains like blood puke pee and all that fun stuff babies and pets leave behind sometimes, but I use it for anything...kiddie art paint, all sorts of food, etc. I just started using oxiclean and it's not impressing me so far...

This may sound strange, but I use that "Dual action" carpet cleaner (It's called Prosolve, Resolve or something...) There is one available especially for laundry, but the carpet stuff works a lot better. It has never faded my colours, and it has even gotten out old stains! (I'm talking about the stuff that mixes 2 products together when you squirt it on)

It really depends on the stain, as some stains require special attention. For everyday uses, mine is Shout.

Peroxide works wonders on pretty much everything because it's oxygen based. On oil or grease based stains like makeup, lemon juice (acid) or witch hazel let sit and work in with an old toothbrush followed by a pot of boiling water.
