My friend and I were talking about the back to school activites this week and she mentioned that there was a hypnotist coming and that she wanted to volunteer. I told her she was stupid, and she said that I should too. She thinks that being hypnotized is sexy. I disagree...and she said I was stupid. I think my friend is a freak. Am I right?

A freak for having an opinion/preference that you disagree with? I don't get the whole 'sexy' aspect to it, but it's not freakish to want to try being hypnotized. She just wants to try it. What's so bad about that? Don't be so lame by trying to make her feel like $hit for wanting to try something out. Not very 'friend' like of you. Just tell her that you don't want to and that you think 'it' is stupid, but you'd love to come watch her have it done to her so you can make fun of her about it (in a friendly way) later.

How the hell is being hypnotized sexy? They'll have someone volunteer who they've already practiced with and who can keep their mouth shut.
She's the one who's stupid for believing in that and wanting so much attention!

lol! thats aweomse my school had a hypnotist on tuesday! it was great! i do'nt think its sexy to be hypnotized lmao cuz ppl laugh at u doing stupid stuff but it is certainly neat, i love them, they're fun!

Sounds like she may have some deep secret fantasy of being hypnotized. That's her prerogative. But hypnosis is nothing like it is betrayed on television like on daytime talkshows. Hypnosis is more about being in a state of relaxation.
