Your right the media does seem to want to convict everyone. The problem is we are suppose to be intelligent enough to make up our own minds instead of just agreeing like a herd of sheep.
It isn't just the media that is guilty, are judicial system is just as bad. Your guilty if you have tattoos, are a minority, or speak your mind. Your innocence is based on your check book and the ability to pay a lawyer. Those that have public pretenders are screwed.

The fault lies with broadcast journalism and cable news. Relaxation of FCC rules that permit consolidated ownership in broadcast outlets exacerbates problems. It is all bottom line.

With so many 24/7 news outlets competing for audience share -- with so many hours to fill with news -- when no news exists, speculation becomes news. Rather than wait for a jury to decide a verdict and then report, news outlets send armies to cover the jury, the jury alternates, the prosecutor, the defense attorney, the judge, the witnesses, and the accused. Programs (striving to be fair and balanced) air debates by legal experts guessing the odds of conviction and speculating about potential sentences.

Because the media is in the ratings and social engineering business, they and their cohorts do not care whether the innocent are wrongly convicted before a television audience.

We started giving the media to much freedom with freedom of the press. They know bad and negative news is what sells.

John Skerry is pretty ignorant isn't he?

People seem to be cattle. None of them have any original ideas about these things. They lose their creativity when the news and other people tell them what to believe.

i think people want to go back to shoot first ask later type of deal. back in the old days you get caught in the vicinity and you get hung no questions asked. it seemed simpilar then but how many innocent people died because of misconstrued information?

Look at Carl Roves
No evidence.. after 18 months of investigation, and the source said it wasn't him!
But the media won't say that.
