I want to spray my old lawn furniture with a different color but am reluctant because I don't want to mess it up.

I DID ! it worked fine. Of course paint chips like any other paint if banged around, but I was completely satified with the outcome of my light blues chairs I turned a dark green.

I pressure washed all my chairs first then set up paper outside so to not spray up dust from the ground. also make sure you do it on a calm day or in the garage. If you do it inside the garage or house, be ready for "over spray" DO NOT have your vehicles in the garage at that time !! (yes some people are stupid enough to spray NEXT to the car)

I put on two coats, took my time to let everything dry before turning over or doing the second coat. Good Luck! : )

I used the Kylon Fusion paint on my snowmobile hood and winshield which is fiberglass and plastic respectively. Scuff the surface with 150 grit sand paper first and then paint away. I have had no flakes or cracks in the hood which is very flexible, and its put through more harsh conditions in the winter than your furniture will be in the summer.

Lawn furniture usually has a pretty slick surface and there's not much for any paint to "grab on to." If you gave it a light sanding with a very fine grit sandpaper it would give the paint a better surface to adhere to.
