There are too many variables to answer that question.

Age
Hormone levels
Type of pill you took in the first place
Were you faithful about taking it
How long did you take it
Over all health
Quality of the sperm involved

Thoses are just a few of the things to concider.

Best of luck in getting pg though! : )

It could take a while depending on how long you've been on the pill and how your body responds to it and, of course your age.

Some people miss a pill and get pregnant. My friend in her mid 30s went off the pill 2 years ago and still isn't pregnant (they already have a 5 year old).

It can be different with each woman and each time. The week or two after I got off the pill the first time I was pregnant. Then the next time it took 4 years. Just depends on your body, and when it is ready, and of course timing. :)

I got pregnant while on the pill. I was taking antibiotics and wallah I get a beautiful baby daughter. I think it depends on the person. The doc says to wait a couple of months after stopping to try to get pregnant.

People say different things because everyone's body chemistry is different.

Also, you don't know how fertile you are until you're actually pregnant, you know?

Me, I got pregnant in the first month after stopping the pill both times.

And they are all right, but if you want to know how soon you "can" get pregnant, right away is the correct answer.

It doesn't mean you will since it takes awhile for your horomones to level out, and sometimes that mean it takes awhile to ovulate, but it can happen immediately... and actually has happened that way for a lot of women.

Good luck!

It took my wife less than 1 week. she was going to switch to a differerent birth control and she was off of it for a few days and that was november. July 22 she had Sarah. Our daughter is now 6 weeks old. We also had always heard that it took months for people to get pregenant after coming off birth control. It is NOT true.
