Sprinkle boric acid powder around the baseboards and everywhere else they go. The bugs walk through the powder and take it back to where they live. It gives them chemical burns and they die. Boric acid is no more dangerous than normal table salt so you do not need to worry about small children or pets.

Borax (the same chemical composition) will also do the same.

You do not need to add sugar to the powder as another has suggested because they will come in contact with the powder if it is baited or not.

Did you know those bugs can survive by eating the soap residue that is left behind after cleaning up? Use Boraxo in the water instead of soap and you will not be feeding them.

I lived in an apartment next to about 45 mexicans living in a one bedroom unit years ago.

There were a zillion roaches.

I found out how to get rid of them without poison. This is really cool.

Female roaches don't simply "lay" eggs. The eggs attach to her abdomen and she 'drags' them around wherever she goes.

Sprinkle boric acid powder wherever the roaches hide. Under the leading edge of the lowest cabinets, behind the fridge, in the pantry.

It doesn't kill roaches. It eats through the egg's outer casing and the baby roaches die before they hatch.

In two weeks, you won't have any more roaches.

Look in the pesticide section of your local drug store, they actually sell boric acid in yellow bottles specifically to control Roaches.

I think it helps to spray bug poison around the entries (be careful if you have pets).

What has worked for the best is a special treat that we mix up combining boric acid powder with sugar and put it out where the creepy things might hide out (under the sink, under the refrigerator, in closets, etc).

And don't leave food out, clean up after you eat, wipe up crumbs, spills from your counters or floor.

Get a exterminator but clean your house-roaches attracted to stuff they can eat-clean house doesn';t have much for them to eat and they'll go elsewhere.
