Why does there seem to be so many young pregnant girls on here?

I read there are 2 million abortions in the US each year. How is it that so many young girls don't know how unwanted pregnancies occur?

It seems the reason sex education isn't taught, and the same reason personal finance isn't taught is that politicians want the majority of us to not be in control of our own lives. The more we screw up our lives with drugs, unwanted pregnancies and bad financial decisions, the more we'll need the government to "help" us. From what I've seen on these boards, it's not the politicians' fault that the country is the way that it is, it's our individual bad behaviors that screw things up (even though we think it doesn't matter).

Oh, they know. They don't care.

1. They are self-centered and only care about themselves.

2. They don't think a fetus is a baby.

3. They want some guy to love them so they do whatever he wants and let him treat her like a blowup doll because they have no self-esteem.

4. They hope they can get pregnant so that guy will want to marry them, and when he runs for the hills they have an abortion.

5. They don't believe they will get pregnant.

6. They can't control the peer pressure and do things they know they shouldn't hoping all the while they won't have to pay any consequenses for their stupid behavior.

7. They don't believe it will matter in the long run.

8. They don't care until they get pregnant and then they realize at that time that they can't care for a baby, they don't want everyone looking at them with disapproval, they realize the guy doesn't give a flip if they got pregnant.

9. Music video's, soap operas, night time television, movies and every other form of media including Hollywood is telling them that it is okay to have a baby before you are married. All of those sources are pushing sex...who dominates those fields? MEN.

Women and girls in this country need to wake up and get a life. They need to realize that they are not pit stops for men. They are not blow up dolls to satisfy some guys urges. They shouldn't let any man take away what can never be given back until they are married. They need to get some self-esteem and realize that they are people not toys. They have brains and feelings not just bodies.

Women and girls need to guard what is theirs. Stop letting men manipulate them like puppets. It's such a pathetic shame.

Because so many young girls have no morals. Of course boys are included. I am not so sure religion or lack of it has much if anything to do with it. The reason being there is a more than fair amount of little BORN AGAIN GIRLS who are unwed mothers. It seems that every time you watch TV for thirty minutes there is a sex seen. Even little girls dress like hookers. There are thousands and thousands, maybe millions and millions of single parent homes. Also homes where the biological father is absent, so here comes stepfather who most likely has children of his own somewhere. Or mother is shacked up with someone who has kids somewhere. Wow aren't these wonderful examples for a young person male or female to observe. More often than not , children are trained by example. Lip service is cheap, so we need to put our money where are mouth is. We are living in a time where everyone thinks letting them (Children) express themselves is good. Is It? If this keeps up they will be marring their biological brother or sister and not know it. Most likely it has already happened. If Swimming were Sex probably about 80% of the people who got in water would drowned. Well maybe..........
Oh well lets get on to more important things like calling someone a racist, bashing our President or just ***** hing in general.

Race has no longer something to do with the area, the area is that media (television, song, etc) is popping sex into the most difficulty-loose message. particular, you may blame the lads all you want for being jerks and making ladies imagine they love her. actual, the female is analyzing it herself this way. Boys that age are surely doing what their hormones tell them to do. In texas you cant mention the word condom or discuss how to use one or other methods. You cant talk about how to get acess to planned parenthood. You cant teach sex ed to tell them you can get pregnant and still be a virgin. At a school last week, parents throu a fit about educators talking about puberty and getting your period and hygiene...like washing face due to hormones, possibly leg shave, wearing bra...etc. 64% of all african american teens will get pregnant at least 1 time before the age of 20. They still have the largest number of pregnancies per 1000. hispanic is second, probably because more african americans have abortions. ---Main thing is they need dads and stay at home moms who care about them. 70% of all blacks dont have dad at home, compared to 27% of hispanics. Isnt that sad!

I have read that alot of babies are aborted because the parents don't want to have to deal with a birth defect. These are not young people. Just people who need to grow up and realize that a defect is not always a horrible thing definitely not worth killing a baby over.

Remember it takes two to tango....the real sad thing is that if they are getting pregnant..then they are probably having unprotected sex, talk about compounding a problem. i would love for everyone to be abstinent, but we know that this wont happen. we must educate children from an early age in the dangers of sex.

It's about education. Theres not enough in our schools, i wasnt taught sex ed in high school only 5 measly classes in primary school.Its not only young girls having abortions its also older woman, people need to stop laying the finger on young woman, we're getting tired of it!

Because it would appear that there is no sex education in schools in the US, unlike what we get here in Australia.

It's sickening to see how many questions on here ask whether they are pregnant (the one that totally blew me away last week is she was a virgin but masturbated and wanted to know if she was pregnant).
