You can go to Tools, Internet Options, Content, Privacy and slide the cookie slider up, this may slow em down a bit, but most any site you visit now is as good as a tracking cookie, this is how they can know what to spam you with, or the god awful pop up banners to pop on you. Good Luck

I just used spyware to get rid of unwanted cookies. Because some of the cookies I use. What you can do is go to your control panel, then click on internet option, and then press on delete cookies. but this will erase all cookies and the ones that you use will be gone. Like the one that automatically logs you into yahoo. but just erase the cookies and then go visit ebery site you go to where your screen name is already there and you just have to put in a password and just sign in. A new cookie will keep track. I just use xoft to get rid of the unwanted cookies but had to pay for that software. PEACE!

Pop-ups don't necessarily hurt your computer. It slows your computer down for a moment because your computer is processing more information.

You can't stop tracking cookies without removing them (remove them by clearing out your cookie jar [under internet settings (no, it's not called "cookie jar')].

They should not hurt..Go under your tools menu on internet explorer...Hit internet options....then delete Cookies....That will clear off all of your cookies. I also clear off all of my temporary internet files as well as clear history before I get off the internet just to be on the safe side. Better safe, then Sorry.
