Yes on both counts. Though the nearest IKEA for me is about a half hour drive away, I still go there. I like their breakfast, so sometimes I go in the morning and eat, then shop afterwards.

I have never heard of IKEA. What is this thing that everybody is talking about? Is it a restaurant or something like that??

Yes actually we went this weekend for the first time. It was crazy there they had cops directing traffic. I asked if there was a sale on or something the reply was no this is IKEA on a weekend.

Heard of it, yes. Drove by the factory a couple of times on some highway in Europe. Never shopped there, though. Too sleek and modern for me. I decorate like a french whore.

They just opened their first store in the Sacramento area a few months ago, in one of the worst sections of town near downtown and it has supposedly been swamped ever since. They paid all the news stations to cover the opening for about three weeks.

And, Ikea is Swedish, not Swiss
