They have taken it from a wrong translation of the verse(part of Quran) .

They main verb in Koran is "DHARABA" which has lots of meanings in Arabic , one of them is "to beat" the other is "to leave" and ..... . this quote refers to the meaning that has got Beat . While if you go to the whole Quran you will find how it talks about women and the relationship between wives and husbands.
