All the time. We do dishes and laundry together. I usually do most of the dishes and Laundry but if I am behind of had a long day she is always willing to jump up and do them. We share laundry with the kids and so we just keep loads going and fold together. We have always worked on that stuff together but when I met her she had a 4th month old girl and we have been parents from day one basically and have shared chores all along. It is too hard to do it alone and that is why we have to work together.

My husband and I share chores around the house. He has 4 and I have 4. We alternate laundry and if I cook, he does the dishes. If he cooks, I do the dishes. If we order in, we both do the dishes.

Just a note, it has taken me a long time to establish this. It just didn't happen right away.

In our house everything is 50/50, I do the laundry and he does the dishes since I cook. also he does all the "man" stuff like take out the trash and mow the lawn where I do the mopping and vaccuuming. But we both work and take care of our daughter the same amount of time so it is fair that we split the work

My boyfriend doesn't like doing either so I have him do other chores (like cleaning the bathroom) to make up for it. It works out nice because I hate cleaning the bathroom and making the bed and he hates doing dishes and laundry.

I do the laundry, but he folds and puts away his stuff. I do all of the cooking, dishes, dusting, organizing, bills, gift shopping & wrapping, travel planning, packing, grocery shopping. My hubby does the garbage, the litter box, the doggy poop-scooping, vaccuming, sweeping, floor washing, car washing. We have four bathrooms, he cleans two and I clean two. Anything else that comes up we figure out as we go.

when i was married i did the laundry, didn't like anyone else doing it, washing dishes was simple, load up the dishwasher and hit a button, cooking was seldom done since none of us kn ows how to cook so we ate out alot.

now that we are divorced i had to learn how to cook since my daughter can't live on out food all the time, i do all the chores around the house, she tries to help but she is still too young to do much of anything

I'm not married but I have lived with my bf for almost 2 yrs. I do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, yard work, and take care of my kids. But I don't work as many hrs as him. He works 40 hr weeks, mine are only 25.

Yes, but I learned not to. I found that those efforts were only criticized, "You didn't do the laundry 'right'", etc. I calmly told my wife it wasn't worth the hassle of trying to help her out if it was only going to cause her to be critical of the effort. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife, but I found that helping with those chores is a no win proposition.
