I used to take the sleep medication Ambien; I took the 5 mg size (I hope I am saying that right....it was the smallest dose.) It worked great, but one day I decided to stop talking it.

The night I stopped, I couldn't get to sleep until 5AM..I was sooooo miserable at work.the next day!

I went back to my Dr. and she prescribed trazadone, which is a mild.antidepressant. that comes with a side effect that makes one sleepy . It is also not supposed to be addictive. It works wonderfully. There have been several nights I haven't taken it, and I was still able to sleep.

What's your story?

Consider changing those things in your life that cause you not to be able to sleep, manage stress, eat meals at same times every day, get to sleep at the same time every day when possible, exercise daily. Getting into a routine and exercise helped me avoid the need for any prescription sleep aid.
