I sure wish I did, or just had someone to get to know..I am 23 years old and I know one thing is very important to me and that is friendships! I really would like a true female friend....A true friend like you see in the movies..Someone who is down to earth, caring and considerate.. Is there anyone out there who feels the same way as I do?

Sounds like you might be looking for a friend, with benefits.

I haven't had a "best friend" in a long time. Each year some friends just seem to drift away and I have less people who I can consider a true friend. The ones who remain don't keep in touch as much anymore and i miss having someone who is just there for you even if it's just to talk about how your day was or share something funny you saw or heard.....

I am truly fortunate to have many people in my life that genially care about me,& me towards them! As you grow with age the"BEST FRIEND" seems to fade.People are living there own lives,be it,spouse, children, occupation, new adventures,etc... If you are fortnate to have even a few good pals, don"t pick out one to be the only.YOU said it so right,"..down to earth, caring &considerate".If you treat them in the same respect, you all will be sisters till the end. Also,A true sis is one to vent out on.Not meaning it you can catch an attitude with this sis She will let you,as she knows there was something else behind it. As you would do the same for her.I still keep in touch with my childhood best friend. She lives 1000's of miles from me.You can never forget growing together, arm n arm, learning & experiencing what life has ahead of you.Yet again,as we grew "UP"we went to different paths.Remember your 3 statements(I will--Liked it alot) And give thanks that at least have one. Many don't. KEEP THE FAITH

Sometimes I envy women who have female friends, but when I see all the drama associated with women in general I change my mind. I had a best male friend, and when he got married, our friendship dwindled. Then I turned to a female, and I just didn't get the same acceptance from her as I did my good friend Dameon. Women are at time trifling and not worth the time spent getting to know then. And please ignore the comments on church. There are devils in sheep's clothing there as well, so be your own judge of character and if it is meant to be....it will be.

I lost most of my close friends/best friends when I left high school. Currently my boyfriend is my best friend. However, I would love to have that great girl friend. All my girl friends are so busy and all have lives of their own. I don't like to bother them. I'm sure there are plenty more out there like us, but I have so many things going on, I don't have time for another friendship.

No, I don't wish I had a best friend. I'm 21 and haven't had a real friend since I was 14.

Yes. I'm 32 and I've felt like that for quite a while. I love my husband and he is my best friend, but I'd like to have a best woman friend again. You tend to lose touch with your friends when you get involved with someone or they get involved with someone. It sucks, but that's life.
