I am Canadian and I fit into some of the stereotypes! lol!

I love hockey!
I use the word,"eh."
I am usually nice, polite and helpful.
I like my snow cold and not slushy! (it ruins my 'mukluks')
I know what -60 degrees feels like!
I am tolerant of people of all races.
I love my country and the freedom and ideals that we represent to the world.

To the contrary:
I am not lazy!
I don't drink beer!
I don't say,"aboot!"
I don't live in an igloo ( I have never even seen one! )
I've only seen polar bears in a zoo.

I don't consider Canada to be in the shadow of the U.S., but a neighbour with our own strengths and our own natural resources!

We are unique in the world and we are very proud of that! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

Canada has relatively low unemployment rates, low crime rates, universal health care, and good quality education, which is reflected in our excellent quality of life!

Did I mention that we have OUR OWN natural resources?

Sorry, but I couldn't resist just a little bit of that Canadian sarcasm, eh! Sometimes it's as thick as maple syrup! lol!

I am a proud Canadian and I hate stereotypes who can we are stupid and that we are in the shadows of the US . Not true, we are kind friendly people who actually enjoy helping others. We don't sleep with our brothers wives or our sisters husbands and if it does happen it doesn't happen that much. I think we are too lenient to immigrants and they laws should be tougher. I also know we use proper English because ain't is not a word.

From what I've heard, canada is a much more peacefull and friendly place to live in, not as muchbullshit like the United States. I heard that most people in Canada don't even lock their doors. But the climate is a little chilly for my taste.

I spent a summer touring through BC and Alberta. Nice people, nice scenery, very underpopulated (said the tasteless American girl). My impression is that the jerk to human ratio is lower in Canada than it is in the US, but that may be a function of the underpopulated thing I mentioned above.

All in all it's a nice place. I'm happy to be American, but I can see learning to love Canada.

I haven't met a Canadian I didn't like. I think they're laid-back, chill people. Yeay Canada.

I'm ashamed to admit that I do have stereotypes about Canada and Canadians. They're mostly things like "wholesome" and "well-adjusted".

Like they sang in South Park... BLAME CANADA!!

But seriously, I have a stereotype of easy going, beer drinking, friendly people who don't get very angry and who are okay with really cold weather. Nice people.

Too nice. Y'all ought to be more careful about your immigration policies.
