Absolutely not. We are simply fortunate to live in one of the most privileged countries in the world. In fact, it is a sorry tale to tell that so many Americans take for granted much of what they have. We have the greatest degree of personal freedom. We have some of the most reliable infrastructure in the world. And even our most economically disadvantages citizens are better off than 3/4 of the world.

Still, we have problems and they need addressing. The pitiful voter turn out in this country should make us ashamed. The fact that anyone in this country should go hungry is absurd. The fact that we don't have a system of universal health coverage is disappointing. The inequalities in educational opportunity belie or claim as the land of opportunity.

Assuredly! And some other people are better than Americans!
From a mathematical standpoint, let's take two sets of numbers: [1, 4, 7, 9] and [2, 3, 5, 6, 8]. Are numbers from the first set greater than numbers from the second set? Some of them are, yes. But are numbers from the second set greater than numbers from the first set? Again, some of them.

I agree with MaqAtak....NO...why would we be? We are all just human beings just because we live in America the supposeably home of freedom doesn't make us any better than someone born somewhere else. Everyone regardless of their race, culture etc is just a person. We are all different but what country you were born in doesn't make you superior to anyone. At least it shouldn't but too many think it does.........

No. If freedom is the criteria (as suggested by most posters) then many more countries have and enjoy this as well.

No one is any better than anyone else. We are - ALL OF US - just human beings. And anyone who tries to tell you different is prejudiced.
