Nope! Because the site of the actual surgery should still be numb. Touch there now and see. It's wierd!

I had 25 staples removed after I had a C-Section. It is not so much painful as it is ...well, weird. They use something that looks just like a staple remover, but obviously, it isn't.

It feels sort of detached in a way, but not at all painful. If you experience pain, ask for a topical anesthetic. I doubt you will need it, though.

never had my gall bladder, but i did have my appendix. staples are staples, did not hurt one bit, promise

when I had mine removed (twice) there were a few that I guess went in a little crooked, and those hurt a little, but besides that, it's nothing to worry about :)

all you feel is a little bit of pressure from the pulling on them
