Well the communist manifesto IS NOT what modern communism is about.

The communist manifesto was written by Karl Marx.
It was about Anarchy. No government. Civilizations run by the community as a whole. All men would be entirely equal. Everyone would vote on every subject..(and I think you know where this is going) Everyone would be given the same amount of work for the same amount of pay...etc.

But it never truely happened. The first communism that were taught about is the Lenonist Communism. Then manipulated form of communism that took on afterwards by Stalin in the USSR and china and N.Kora and elsewhere.

Lenon learned about the ways of Marx, but didn't apply it fully. There was still the leading party. And the trend caught on after that.
