why did they stop coverage ? policy though employor where you were no longer working ?

failure to pay ?

Need alot more info for a correct answer

It should be illegal. When the cost of your expenses exceed more than what any insurance company want to pay out is grounds for termination of policy.
A work related injury, I suggest you look around for a competent attorney you will handle your case on a contingency basis. If, it is a vehicular injury (depending on the state you reside) and you have a threshold policy. Again, find a competent attorney. Stay away from attorneys who advertise on buses, via media,etc.

If you do some research and still feel that this was unjustified, you can file a formal complaint with your state's Insurance Regulating Board. It is amazing how quickly insurance companies can change their tune when someone with authority points out the error of their ways. The board does not just slap their hands, they make them do the right thing, in addition to imposing a fine. I hope your state has similar regulations.

A parent of one of my daughter's friends works for them, and under his advice, I have been getting faster and better service from the insurance companies. I like to throw the term "unfair and unethical business practices" around. That one seems to get their attention.

I hate to tell you this but your not in good hands with Allstate.I broke Three vertebra's in my neck in1998.I still haven't got the bills paid.And the lawyers they tell you they have for you in their advertisement . That's just what there for is, you !But not for you as you might think.
