I would think alone the terms of social conditions which result in school violence such as in columbine (unless this is taboo in your school).
You might find something in music to write about which everyone enjoys but many find reasons to become violent from listening to music.
The new American youth who are in denial to society,
Example those who wear their pants down to their butts from school now have began to invade the work place with the lack of respect they showed in school, and the effect it is having on their careers in later life.
It has been shown to be true that teens who dress with no idea other than disrespect or rebelism usually bring the same approach to life to the work place and are rendered to manual labor careers or frequent unemployment.
We have actually have to send people home in their 30s because they could not work due to holding their pants up around their hips.
We have had to tear up applications of people who showed up wearing sandals, flip flops, tank tops, pants down around their their knees, Sometimes for the second time.(we are a hard hat, safe conscious company with a dress code.
We've Had people so encased in jewelry on their face they could not work around electrical instruments.
I seems that student attitude, and personal dress foll owes them into the work place and works against their careers.

u can talk about social norms. Huge topic and pretty easy to research and write a 10 pg paper on if needed.

You could write about the rate of growth in our country of people who are obese. You can touch on the confines of obesity, the types, what people view as obese verse what actually is obese, how to combat obesity, the extremes of obesity, why is it prevelant in our country etc.
This is a growing issue in our country, and there is plenty of information out there to research and write with. Hope this helps!!
