I am a member of our safety committee at my work in MN. I do not know if it's different for each state but hold meetings once a month. One month it's a tour of either the production area or the office area (realize it's probably different for you) and the next month it's an actual meeting where we discuss topics that need to be addressed at our site...such as fire drill, severe weather drills, etc. And we hold these drills at least once a year and make the entire workplace go thru them. OSHA visited us just once in 50 years and were very impressed with how we hold these meetings. By the way, our tours of the workplace, we note what's wrong and for what reason, then they are noted in a Word document and emailed to the supervisor of that area and they need to comply with all issues and have all their employees sign a sheet saying they've read thru all issues. Visit you local Safety Committee in your state to see what your obligations are.

I didn't find a specific schedule, but I only did a quick search. For everything you've ever wanted to know about the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, go to their website!
Happy hunting, it's a government site!
And don't for get to look for your state's safety guidelines, as well.

You must follow your written safety policy. It's better to have no safety policy than to have one you don't follow. If you have questions regarding your personal OSHA regs call your insurance company. They'll tell you right away.
