Reporters asked Bush recently (look it up yourself) if he was considering a nuclear strike on Iran .

"All options are on the table" and he left in what appeared a bit of a huff. I take that to mean it is more than possible in the mind of the President. He could have said no he could have said "only if" he didn't choose those answers .

Further the President can strike any nation as a premtive move on the war on terror without Congress and the "mini nuke" a bunker buster is being now considered as a "conventional weapon" (Reseach by Jorge Hirsh nuclear phisics Ca)

The concept of nuking Iran is very much in the "talk" and with no Presidential denial ...............how else should I have taken Bush's statement?

Good point I got the impresion thats all he was supposed to say and thats all he did say. Reminiscent of the time Prime Minister Chretian's handlers tried to keep his foot out of his mouth - didn't work well but they tried

Clearly I am no fan of Bush, but I truly believe that to over analyze what he has said is a tedious, time-wasting task. I don't believe he means what he says or says what he means. I'm not even sure he understands what he says or knows what he thinks. So, it would be futile to attempt to read anything into it. If it's a speech, all you know is what SOMEONE thinks. If it's a practiced response to a common question, again, you know what SOMEONE thinks. And God forbid it's an off-the-cuff remark to a surprise question, because then you get Bush-speak and Bush-think, and Heaven help us all.

He is trying to show no weakness. That said I do not like the idea of Iran feeling they are being backed into a corner. When a country is in that situation there is no telling what they could end up doing. You should take Bush's statement as what it is. If the US needs to attack Iran with Nukes they will do it. I however do not believe it is likely because it would bring the world down on the USA. Even the powerful states could not handle that.

Because of Irans danger, of course that option has been discussed.

Bush is a warmonger, he will stike Iran when he feels the time is right. If it's Muslim and it moves, Bush wants it dead.

Is there some kind of a problem?
