It is "getting in the groove". Means you are on a roll, you are doing something well, without difficulty,

In the groove...You are doing something without difficulty presently.

Could also refer to just doing something. "Why did you interupt me, I was in the groove"

I don't think so, I think "getting in the Groove" or "gettin into the groove" is more like loosening up and going with the flow.

But "getting in the grooves (plural)" means more like finding finer details or annoying someone.
