could be ingrown hairs or you just have very sensative skin, do not use any oils after you pluck instead use witch hazel or even alcohol and after use a salicylic wash usually used for acne it helps shed the dead skin cells so new hair growth does not become trapped under the skin.

I have curly hair which makes for many a problem with ingrown hairs, I have used a product called "tend skin" (my friend girl got it from beauty brands) it kills the bacteria in the ingrown hairs preventing the red zit like thing that forms with the hair.... I also use a alcohol free, fragrance free face wash, and started using "Jack Black beard lube" instead of regular shave gels (alcohol based) which were drying my skin out, I use a moisturizer and apply the tend skin 2x a day, and all the red bumps are pretty much gone or much much less better, also i shave every other day, very lightly don't apply too much pressure I'm noticing the ladies like a little scruff........ hope this helps.....

It's called foliculitus.
Inflammation of the hair folicle. Make sure the area in which you remove hair is really clean. Otherwise, the open pore is swallowing bacteria and causing an infection. Try going over the areas where u remove hair with Noxzema Triple Action Anti-bacterial Cleanser. It won't burn, I promise.

they're little infections. next time, exfoliate the area before plucking to remove dead skin cells. wet the area and use shave gel to soften the hairs. then, rinse thoroghly and use rubbing alcohol over the area to prevent the open pores from getting clogged and infected. do not use any oils or lotions after plucking - let the area air dry.

Your skin is irritated and inflamed from all the blood rushing to it. You're pulling things out at the root, and sensitive skin doesn't react very well to this.
Put aloe vera on or an anti-inflammatory cream to reduce swelling and pain.
