Why do people feel the need to ask a question on here that they could find out for themselves just by typing it into Google? At least they could SPELL most of the words correctly and make it easier for the rest of us to read!

i think its simply just to hear different opinions, and different life experiences. Th answers have more value because of the people who answer them. =)
But i do agree, it does bother me when people ask questions with, "internet slang."

If u have a problem with the place then why are u on here hun?
maybe u should reconsider ever openeing the page if it annoys u so much.. and as for slang Its easy and trandy hahahaha
honestly i think this place helps the young'ins with things they cant cope with... its good for some people..!But, sometimes i do get frustrated and think what the? get a job and use google grr... hhehehe

I wanna guess that its fuN.
BUt a lot of the time, theres answers that would need opinions or professional answers which the average joe can't answer.
Or maybe the people aren't very good at using the internet as a search engine (although I wouldn't know how they end up using yahoo questions if they dont know the basics)

Perhaps they want a public consensus. There are some questions (non factual in particular) which Google can't answer.
As far as the spelling is concerned, I think the longer you spend texting/SMSing the weaker your spelling gets.

not much going on in life I guess, have to admit it's pretty cool knowing you are asking and answering questions from people all over the country in real time, as for the spelling? that crazy little check spelling link is not to far away, never understood the poor spelling, poor grammar on the other hand, guilty as charged:-)

Because at least on this site you can challenge an answer, after all most questions rarely have one answer, and if it does, the answer could be subject to change. Plus this site promotes conjecture and allows society to reflect upon itself.

Laziness, no one to ask, not aware, or Yahoo Answers seemed the most obvious place to start.
