what is the wiring sequence for the two 6volt batteries on a 1969 mgb?

there is two positive post and two negative post

Do they wire to 6 volts or do they need to be wired togeather to produce 12 volts

Just two batterys in series."Positive Earth" has a sticker on the firewall and trunk but by 1969 "I think" MGB was negative grounded. First battery run ground wire to - post + post wire to negative - on second battery and positive to cars electrical system. BUT Please make sure yours isn't "positive ground" which you would hook up backward positive to ground. MY 1967 MGB GT was POSITIVE EARTH. You can find one battery to replace both that fits one of the battery boxes simply splended tally ho!
