I have considered being a property superintendent in exchange for a room. Is this possible? Other ideas?

Any superintendent or janitor gets a room or a small apartment. Thats basically all you're going to get for free unless you go to a shelter and you don't want to go there.

do property management or look for a position doing grounds care at an estate, often it is a few hours of work for free rent and you get to live in a nice pad.
