She received other heads of state at Buckingham Palace. Once a week she meet the Prime Minister and is informed about state matters. Any bill which is past in Parliament she has to sign it. She travels the breath and length of the UK for charity events. She is also the head of the Church of England, head of the commonwealth. She represent the UK aboard. The Queen also has a functional role in executive government - in the United Kingdom, she chooses her prime minister in accordance with constitutional requirements.

She is basically a figurehead. The royal family no longer has any real power. In Canada, they say that everything federal, including land, belongs to the crown. The clothes I wear everyday, being in the Canadian Forces, belong to the crown. I belong to the crown. I swore an oath to the crown. But really, in the end, I would not die for the queen. I would die for my country. I say, sever all ties with the royal family and all treaties with Aboriginal Canadians will be null and void. Make them start paying taxes and working for their money like the rest of us.

These days the Queen is pretty much just a figurehead, she has little to no real power. Parliment and the Prime Minister have most of the power. The monarchy is a part of traditional, and symbolic more then anything.

as kind of an embassador . the days of the Queen of England making laws is pretty much over, from what I understand. She is tradition to England, and her family represents old money, tradition, and proper society.

you mustn't assume some undertaking which you notice on the television: with out doubt no longer from a "counsel" broadcast. maximum human beings living in the u . s . a . are most of the time very sturdy persons, besides the fact that it is tough to get the different impression from our "counsel" publicizes that the u . s . a . is something rather then a conflict-monger united states of america: for people who look on the hardship objectively and with out bias. in my opinion, i think of that the whole worldwide must be larger immeasurably if u.s. with out concern ceased to exist.

Tons of walkabouts, visiting special sites, meeting visiting celebrities, supporting numerous charities (and there are dozens and dozens of them), presenting honours, riding horses, trotting about with corgis, and presumably having tea with her daughter-in-law.
