The El Hajj Malik El Shabazz died in the name of freedom for his people. His intelligence, his tenacity to enpower his people (which he succeeded in doing so). Brother Shabazz made people aware that there is no place on this planet for black folk to be fearful of the devil (later on in years, recanting the definition of the devil) who oppress us.
Brother Shabazz instilled so much fear in the late Hon. Elijah Muhammad, WASP/supremacist, etc... they all believed it was time for him to go.
-This is a subject that is very controversial. To this day, Brother Shabazz philosophical beliefs should not be ignored. This is a practice that all parents should be instilling in there offspring.-

It looks like he had a major conflict with the Nation of Islamd. Some believe that he was "too popular" - which made Nation of Islam leaders uncomfortable - possibly jealous.

Malcom X, apparently believed that the Nation of Islam leaders were using the enterprise to line their own pockets, and allow them to commit adultry - though against the rules of the Nation of Islam.

Supposedly the Nation of Islam put out a "hit" on Malcom X - and he was gunned done during a public speech.

He was killed by a black man that didn't want to believe him.
Malcolm X(I hate that name he gave himself) was trying to get blacks to move back to Africa.
