I'm for Freedom Fries. Actually the American Revolution is the only time I can think of where France helped us. We have helped them over and over but never get a thank you. The French people really don't like America. Just grab any ol history book if you don't believe me.

***The Statue of Liberty was a gift to celebrate our centennial but also a political move. Both countries paid for it to be built.

The relationship between the US and France has gone back and forth since the French and Indian War before we declared independence. I really don't feel like explaining.

Who cares what the French think? They have proven to be anti-western, anti - American over the past 50 to 60 years. Now they are even rolling over and allowing their country to be overrun by Muslims. Shame on them and their forever 'lack of backbone' to stand up for what ever it is, they think they stand for. Maybe that is part of it. They don't know what it is they want or what they stand for. Sounds like the party in America John Kerry was trying to lead, the dems and liberals.

The French will regain credibility with America when they make good on their loans for bailing them out of World War II. Regardless of what deep fried sliced potatoes are called.

I really don't know why anyone cares about France at all. They helped Saddam build the nuclear reactor that Israel destroyed before it could produce nuclear fuel that could have been used to make the bomb everyone knows Saddam wanted. They are so thick in bed with countries that support acts of violence against the US that you often cannot tell them apart. The US made mistakes with Saddam as well but nothing like France.

Of course the French don't care about America, and the Americans don't care for the French! And by the way, in France they don't call them french fries either, that's just a dumb American name for them.

The democrat party cares about the French. The French is the democrat's homeland. French Fries reminds them of the glorious people they are.

If everyone knows them as french fries, then why change it if loads of people are still going to call them french fries?

Do you think we care if they care that we changed it to freedom fries? They probably don't even know, seeing as how they like to bury their heads in the sand and pretend like if they ignore it the threat will go away. I believe that is called the Ostrich response.

Yes, but did the Germans care when sauerkraut was temporarily renamed "Liberty Cabbage" during WW2. True story.

If they don't care about us, why did they save our butt at Yorktown, allowing us to win the American Revolution?
