The 70's were awesome!
The sexual revolution was the best thing that ever happened to me, forward aggressive women who wanted to have fun. The product of the women's movement, the blush of implied success of the protests and our president Jimmy Carter lusting in his heart and offering solar use tax breaks added up to one great time.
The government was still supporting the arts (before Reagan) so the scene was evolving.
From '69 when an X-rated movie won Best Picture Oscar to 1985 when AIDS hit the fan was one get down ***-boogie time to be alive.
Mushrooms, Weed, LSD, The Grateful Dead, Led Zep .... and you could give Joni Mitchell's "Blue" to your girlfriend and know it's the perfect gift.
Gay Power was on the rise ... the raised clinched fist with a limp wrist ... oh man, what a time to be a young man!
The rabbit's on the run..........

I can only compare 5 decades, and maybe if I'm real lucky remember 2 entire ones lol.
I kinda like it now. So many things are easier to do and there's a lot of interesting things to learn and do now. Too many new toys to play with too that weren't around when I was a kid in the 60s like computers, cable TV, internet, cell phones, that kind of stuff.
Besides, trends and fashions repeat themselves. The 70s are hot now again anyway with the clothing. And I never did like the clothes in the 70s. I might remember half of the 70s...I killed a few too many brain cells from that period!

It's going back a little more than 70 years, but I think it would have been awesome to experience the 20s. Gender roles were changing so rapidly at that time, and the economy was in an upswing. And I love all things Art Deco. Or maybe I just get too caught up in Fitzgerald novels. But I do think it would have been a fascinating time.

The 60's would be my choice because I remember it as a happy time. I was a little kid in the 60s. Things were so simple back then. On the down side, President Kennedy was shot (I was 3 at the time), plus the Viet Nam war was in full swing (my big brother went there.) I guess there are pros and cons with every decade.

I guess I'd have to say the 70s. I love the classic rock music. But, I do wish that I could've seen into my future and done some things a little differently from back then. So many opportunities could have been different.

i would have to say the 60's would have been a decade i would have loved to live in.
everything that was done by the youth had a true meaning. not like my generation now where we have become more ignorant of everything but ourselves (and maybe even that). the music of that time was great because it too had real meaning towards the world around those who lived during the period.
if i had been living during that time, i am sure i would have been one of those hippies and would have lived in san francisco.

I'd have to say the 60's.I lived in an area we could skinny dip and nobody would be able to see us.Today that same area is a shopping mall.We would target shoot into caves.Today the caves are gone and a 5star resort and golf club built. The nearest my son comes to target shooting is on his sharp shooter vedio game.

1980s for sure. Of course this is strongly influenced by one's age. 1880s music was the best, it was all upbeat and happy, unlike all of the political & rebelous undertones of most 1960s music and than there was the 1990s with its grunge movement where everyone one wanted to die or kill someone. Can you say anti-depressant?
