My last period was on June 19th, and i havent had one since. When i last had sex on june 9th we used a condom. I'm 22, not on birth control, i'm not very active, i AM very stressed out all of the time, I took one pregnancy test on in late july, the other one a week later in july, and then the last one in late august and they call came out negative. I DO NOT want to be pregnant =(, and im terrified big time of doctors or anything. Im hoping to hear that someone has had skipped periods without being pregnant. My periods are also semi irregular.

if your period is irregular, and you've taken pregnancy tests that were negative I would say that you probibly arn't pregnant. I would advise you to look and see if there is a womans clinic in your area or just go into a clinic and get tested. Honestly, better safe then sorry.
I would also recommend going on birth control, but as long as you use condoms you are still being safe.
put your mind at ease and see a doctor, they help a lot.

Yes, you absolutely can skip periods without being pregnant. Stress or a history of irregular periods can have a bearing on that. Given that you used a condom the last time you had sex, this is probably what is going on.

However, there are also cases where people are pregnant but get a false negative on home pregnancy tests.

If the situation continues, at some point you may have to decide whether your fear of doctors is greater than your desire for information/not to be pregnant.

It sounds like there could be many reasons for your missed period, pregnancy probably being the least likely. I'm pregnant now, but I've been in the same shoes as you before. My periods have always been irregular, but it started to worry me when I was totally missing out on one or two periods at a time. I spoke with my OBGYN worried about pregnancy, I got tested and it came out negative. I had a lot of stress happening in my life at that point and my doctor attributed it mostly to the stress which sounds like what you might be experiencing. I'm extremely stressed over little things (I think I might actually be Obsessive Compulsive.) I hope this helps. Good luck, I hope your period comes soon (that's something you probably don't hear everyday.)

You could be pregnant, you may not. You can miss periods because of stress, and stressing out over this may be causing you not to have a period. You could still be pregnant, go to the doctor and get tested there, so you know for sure. You could even go to the health department, planned parenthood. If you are sexually active at all, get birth control especially if you do not want a child.

First, you need a blood test called a Quantitative HCG which will show the level of pregnancy hormone in your blood stream, if your not pregnant it will read "less than 2".
Second, your doctor should order an ultrasound, whether your pregnant or not. You could have something else going on, like a cyst on your ovary which can mess up your hormones and cause irregular periods. There are other things that can mess up your cycles too...check with your doctor!!

Same thing happened to me, I was late and I kept thinking and thinking about it, and I continued to stress about it even more and the stress only delays your period even more, also if you are doing intense work outs that delays your period, there are many factors as to why your period could be late, but i think its probably because your stressing that you might be pregnant, to me the pregnancy tests were enough to spell out I wasnt pregnant and it relieved my stress, I had my period after that which made me stress free, it seems that the negative pregnancy tests havent reassured you, so go to the clinic to get checked out for sure, that way itll make you feel reassured that you're not pregnant

You're probably not pregnant....youré not taking any hormones to regulate your period so emotions and stress (especially stress about being pregnant) can get in the way of your period coming. Still, you should go to your local planned parenthood (or similar clinic) and get a pregnancy test. I work at a planned parenthood and they see people all the time for what's going on with you, and very often, they are not pregnant. Try to not worry so much.

You're unlikely to be pregnant with the negative home pregnancy tests - they are very sensitive. You do need to see an Ob/Gyn to make sure you don't have something serious going on - there are many things that can cause you to not have periods besides stress.

You could be missing them because you are stressed. But I would go to a free clinic and let them give you a blood test. My cousin didnt know she was pregnant untill she was getting ready to go to Iraq. They had to do blood test so they could get shots, but she couldnt because the pregnancy only showed up after the blood test. And she had taken 5 at home test all said no.

I miss periods all the time. You really may want to see a doctor though. Sometimes it can be medicaly related. I doubt you are pregnant if you have taken three test and it sounds like you guys were careful. Maybe it's just stress.

Good luck!
