Roncalli High School in Manitowoc, Wis., has done the Scoreboard Cheer for a number of years.
It's led by a student in the student section. Basically, he or she compiles a list of things to point out and then runs down the list.
Late in the game, with their team winning, all the students sit down to begin. He stands up and points at whatever is the first item on his list - usually his own team - and yells, very fast, "Is that the winning team?" He then darts back down and the whole student section immediately shoots up and replies, "Yes that is the winning team!"
Then they dart back down, he shoots back up and points at the second item, usually the opponent: "Is that the losing team!?"
He sits, they stand: "Yes that is the losing team!"
And it goes from there; the leader will point out absolutely whatever they want, about 6-8 things. At one game I attended, they even pointed out one of the students' fake IDs. Hilarious.
It's fast-paced and very funny when done correctly, but the secret lies in doing it clearly and quickly. Always gets a rousing O.
