This is not a dumb question... so don't worry.
You sound like you are very ill and weak..It sounds like your body needs true rest. Are you neglecting fluids like water? Any pop, caffeine products, milk has to be avoided for awhile. Get plenty of hydration from water or a sports drink if you absolutely can't stand just plain water.

How are you going to do your best on your tests? I don't want you to get behind either..so try to get someone you trust to take notes for you and help you catch up on what you missed...or contact the school and ask them to give a notice to the teacher/s that you are sick and don't want to fall behind. What homework or studying can be done?

Is it an allergy and therefore, not contagious. Can you take some medicine to help you get through without being drowsy.

If it's not an allergy, would you feel right exposing others to a major cold/sickness that's contagious?

Sometimes it's a difficult decision because we don't want to fall behind...and we are not really sure how we are going to feel in the morning. Can you wait until morning to make the decision?See how you are after you get a night of rest...whether you sleep the whole time or not....really be resting.

Time to get off the computer, turn off any distractions, stop talking, and go lay down to get enough ZZZZzzz's and quiet rest.

Hope you feel better soon....hopefully by morning. If not, take care of yourself.

3 possible answers:

If you were my daughter ...

Are you the teacher, Mrs. Wheeler? Your class needs you!

You call a little cold being sick?! If there is no fever or no throwing up, you belong in school. A cold is just a contagious inconvenience. Wash your hands a lot, use tissues, cough and sneeze away from people, etc. You know what to do.

By the way, what does this question have to do with music, the category you put this question in? Always curious!

If you're in grade school, I'd say miss it. They give so many ways to make up for missed stuff. If you're in college and there's a test, you'd better go to class short of an emergency. Most professors don't do makeup tests.

An education is important, but never underestimate the value of taking a day off. Especially if you feel worse tomorrow morning.

If you don't have any cold meds to make you feel better during school stay home. I doubt you studied, so why risk a failing grade when you do a makeup.

Why not go to school and head straight for the nurse's office? Let him/her make it official.

Chances are you'll be sent home to prevent spreading the cold to other students.

Stay in school. Get an education. Become a doctor. Save a life or 5,000.

GO TO SCHOOL!

You already answered the question by saying, "And i don't want to be behind." So yeah, getting behind on school work sucks in my lifetime of "getting behind on school work" experiences.

Oh wait . . . I never caught up. That's what those I's on my report cards meant, 'Incomplete'.
