Detached zipper to zip again?

first of all have patience in putting it back on its track ( which is a tuff task ).

Once u r thru with it. then, press it with a nose plier to grip them down. This is the most important part - once it is done, the zipper will grip the zip well and it will commence to work like before.

Make a small slit on the bottom end of zipper opposite of the side the zipper pull is still on, and reslide on to the track then stitch closed just above where you made the slit to slide the zipper back on to the track. Hope this makes sense!

There is usually a clip at the bottom of the zipper holding the two tracks together. Remove the clip, slide the head off and pull the tracks apart. Slide the head onto the tracks keeping them even and refasten the clip or if it was ruined in removal sew the tracks together with heavy thread.

yikes...if its an expensive item, maybe take it to a dry cleaner or tailor, someone who can sew and replace it. sounds like a drag...good luck!
